lovely picture, I really love the one of the paint brushes For that is my passion, art and writing. but I have to ask do we use passion a to broad a word ? or can a person have a bushel full of passions and maintain them properly ? I would love to know your thoughts. Blessings Rachel Hope http://hopespuntreasures.blogspot.com/
That's a good question, Hope. I have many passions, but I am not an expert at all of them. To me, passion is a God-given desire placed deep within our personality. It is something we would feel incomplete without. I don't think passions must be maintained because they are ingrained within us. But that is just my humble opinion. :)
I completely agree with you I love the way you put it ingrained, perhaps I used the wrong word when I said maintained. I know I have many passions and sometimes it drives me a tad crazy to be so excited about so many things at one time. You are definitely right I would feel incomplete with out passion. Blessings Rachel Hope.
I think I understand what you meant. In our culture, passions are seen as a means of obtaining praise from others. Thus, people pour themselves into a certain area until it becomes their identity and their idol. As Christians, I believe God wants us to channel our passions in ways that bring glory to Him and fulfil those ingrained desires at the same time. :)
My deepest desire is to be a woman after God's own heart.
Literature, music, and horseback riding are my passions, but I also love dancing and art. Most of all, I love spending time outside enjoying God's creation. :)
